ScoreCast is a free football-predictions game for private friend leagues. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and your choices. We keep it minimal: we only collect what the app needs to run your account, leagues, and notifications.
Information we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, and chosen username, provided when you sign up.
- Your predictions — the scorelines you predict and the points you earn.
- Push token — a device notification token, only if you enable push notifications, so we can send deadline reminders and results.
We do not collect your location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we do not use any third-party tracking or advertising SDKs.
How we use it
Solely to operate the app: authenticate your account, run your leagues and scoring, and — if enabled — send you notifications. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
How it's shared
We never sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that run the app on our behalf:
- Hosting & database (application servers and PostgreSQL)
- Email delivery (verification codes)
- Push delivery (Expo and Apple Push Notification service)
Other members of a league you join can see your username and league standings — that's the point of the game.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app: Account → Delete account. Deletion removes your profile, predictions, league memberships, and notification tokens.
Children
ScoreCast is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content, but it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
